Entrance Path in June Muriel Brunton's Memorial Bench South Lawn

These photographs were taken in June 2011.  The photo on the left shows the flower beds along the entrance path in full summer splendour, like the beautiful blue geranium in the foreground.  The photo on the right of the bench that was donated by Muriel Brunton's sons, in her memory is surrounded by lovely summer planting.  And the photo on the far right displays the shubbery and lawn on the south side of the Church.  The consecrated ground beneath the south wall is given special attention with the memorial plaques.  Over the last two years, the lawns have been much improved, thanks to the generosity of a member of the congregation. Another member has kindly given a substantial donation to be spent as we see fit.

May 2012

This year, during May 2012, the Rhododendrons have been quite splendid!

Jubilee Roses

A special Jubilee rose was planted to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee on Sunday 3rd June 2012. We will eagerly watch it's progress, as it was planted alongside the two roses  which were planted for the Queen's Golden Jubilee, ten years ago. These two, are a beautiful golden yellow; time will tell what the colour the new one will be!
Well, much to our delight, it turns out to be yellow, just like the other two golden jubilee roses ! .......Here it is below left; along with three views of some of the other roses in our garden. Below that is a glorious pink floribunda outside the vestry door.

  • The red roses below are at the west side of the memorial bed, and the yellow rose below is at the right of the porch.
