Music in the Liturgy

Liturgical music at the Good Shepherd is designed to enhance worship within a small parish church setting. Singing is accompanied by the organ and led by the Good Shepherd Singers, a small group of choristers drawn from the congregation.

The Director of Music works with the Rector and the Good Shepherd Singers to provide simple, but high quality, music with an emphasis on congregational participation - expect hearty congregational singing at this church!

Although traditional in style, the music is drawn from a range of sources and includes good music from 17th century to the present.  Special services explore the use of different forms of music in worship.  Details will be given on the Future Services page.
