20th Anniversary

Yesterday (4th July) I celebrated 20 years as a priest and the day was a typical priestly day; home communions, presiding at the Eucharist, pastoral visiting, mentoring another priest, theologically reflecting with my student on placement and a volunteers party for the Murrayfield Club in the evening. It was great and reflected the sort of stuff a priest does, so for me it could not have been better. Over the the past 20 years I have been privileged to serve in some interesting and challenging places and to undertake some exciting an unexpected pieces of work I count myself truly blessed (even the difficult bits have helped to form me into the person and priest I am) - thanks God.
