Getting Together

It was good, yesterday, to join with our brothers and sisters from the other two churches in Murrayfield for a joint act of worship. All the clergy and many lay members took part in the service designed by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland and adapted for our local context. Our speak was Jen McQuiston from Fresh Start a local homelessness charity, where many members form MCT volunteer. With the coffee morning on the Saturday and the sale of home baking on the Sunday we raised almost £800 for the charity as well.

Next week we celebrate Candlemas at our 10am service. At which we remember the presentation of Jesus as a baby in the temple as his earthly parents gave thanks for his birth.
