Holidays are a time to stop and reflect

Today most of the local schools around the Good Shepherd Church in Murrayfield began their summer break, as a congregation we wish all pupils, students and staff a happy holiday. Holidays are always a good time to stop and reflect upon one's life. They can give one space to say sorry for things one has got wrong or the hurt one has caused another and they can also be a time for us to give thanks for the blessings we have received and for those relationships that mean so much to us. Take a bit of time out this summer to thank God for the good things in your life and to ask God to help you sort out the difficult things and the things you would rather avoid.
