The sessions last 30 minutes and we begin by taking a 'lectio divina' approach to our reading before responding to the questions. It is amazing what comes up and is discussed and how relevant the passage has been to where we find ourselves now as a gathering of Christians, reaching out to God's people in the world and local community.
What does it highlight for us as a congregation?
What does it tell us about the church?
As part of the discernment of our congregation's priorities we are holding a monthly Bible study after the service on a Sunday morning. Yesterday 18 of us met to study the passage Exodus 19:1-6 and to ask ourselves the questions:What does this passage initially say to me?
