The 114th Congregational AGM 4th December 2011

posted 5 Dec 2011, 13:57 by Dean Fostekew   [ updated 5 Dec 2011, 13:59 ]
Yesterday morning following the 10am Sung Eucharist the congregation met for the AGM. Dean said how great it was to be able to tell the congregation that we have almost broken even rather than facing a £20,000 deficit that was projected in May. the fact that the congregation is back in the black is entirely due to the generosity of the members of the Good Shepherd, financial prudence on behalf of the Vestry and no major property bills. The congregation is now in a good place to focus its efforts in the coming 12 months on its outreach to the people of God in this bit of God's kingdom. It is an exciting time for all of us as we move into the future holding each others hands and encouraging each other to do new things for the sake of the Gospel as well as doing
what we already do even better.
