Praying at Home - Appendix III

27th September Trinity XVI Proper 21

O Lord, may your grace at all times go before us, and follow on behind: and so continually direct us to good works; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, now and for ever. Amen.

Ezekiel 18:1-4, 25-32; Philippians 2:1-13; Matthew 21:23-32

Creator of the fruitful earth, you made us stewards of all things. Give us  grateful hearts for all your goodness, and steadfast wills to us e your bounty well, that the whole human family, today and in generations to come, may with us give thanks for the riches of your creation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.

Deuteronomy 8:7-18; 2Corinthians 9:6-15; Luke 12:16-30

We are a warm and friendly community with the feel of a village church, despite being just a stone's-throw away from Edinburgh city centre. We come with many different ideas about life, but are joined by one thing – the love of God. We enjoy exploring the challenges the Gospel puts before us and are happy to keep asking questions rather than finding definitive answers.

The Good Shepherd belongs to the Scottish Episcopal Church and we are members of the ecumenical Murrayfield Churches Together.

Whether you are visiting the area, are considering joining our congregation or wish to enquire about a wedding or baptism, please get in touch or follow us via our facebook page

We would like everyone to be able to enjoy our services and activities.  See our accessibility page for more information.  Our resources page provides some suggestions for worshipping from home.
